The Future Changes Everything


A better future is worth fighting for. What is in store for us in the future? Nobody knows, that is why we have to fight to make sure our future is good rather than bad. There are many things we can do to make our future a better place for everyone. One of these is children.

"Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same." - Ronald Reagan
To achieve a better future we must fight for and protect children. We have to do this because us children will create the future of society but if no one fights for us and leads us down the right path, then the future will probably be terrible. We also have to be educated. If we are not educated, then when you adults are gone and our generation is in charge, then we will not know how to continue on in the best possible way. However, we might not even be able to survive without a healthy ecosystem.

To achieve a better future, we must fight for and protect the ecosystem. In this world, we are destroying what is keeping us alive faster than it can rebuild itself. This is putting our future at risk because if we destroy the ecosystem, then all the animals who live in the forests that we have destroyed would just simply die off and we would have nothing to eat and live off of. If we do not stop destroying the ecosystems, then many animals would go extinct, including us. Without some animal species that other species of animals might live off of, those would also go extinct, then the animals that lived off of them would go extinct and the cycle would continue forever until nothing is left. However our future could still be a disaster before the ecosystem collapses.

To achieve a better future, we must fight to stop war. In Iraq, over half a million people died in just one war. That is more deaths than any natural disaster has ever caused and if we could just stop then a better future could be achievable. Why do people even have wars when you could just settle it politically? If we could just settle wars in a civilized meeting, then we could start to spend the trillions of dollars spent on war on better things (like the UNMDG's). Then we could achieve a better future for us and the millions starving all over the world.

A better future is needed and we need to fight for it. If we do not get a better future then the world's ecosystems could collapse and we might even just destroy ourselves with war and hate. If we could do all that we can to make the future better, then we could accomplish so much in this world. We could save the ecosystem, stop war and help all those in need. This is why we should fight for a better future.

It's All Up To You


I believe that cures are worth fighting for. If we could find a cure to cancer, malaria and any other decease that we have no cure for yet, then millions of lives would still be alive and there would be no more headings in the newspaper saying that Thousands die in with malaria in africa. Our world would be much better and would be safe from deceases that we can not cure. Family members wouldn't be dyeing because of some decease with a unknown cure. With a cure to these deceases then this world would be a better place.

Terry is right about how people should do something for cancer research, and people are. Only there are not enough. People think that someone else will do something about it and then that someone thinks that someone else will do something about it and it just goes on and on. In fact there are probably only a few who are smart enough to take charge and do something in this world, like Terry Fox did. If we can start taking charge of our lives and save others, then we will get somewhere and life will be a lot happier for everyone.

Why are we spending so much money on war when we could be using it for better? Diamond is right when he says that the money spent on a few months in Iraq could change the whole world for the better. Why do we even need war when we could just settle it over a meeting? If the US never went to war since 2001, then we would have over $1,282,600,000,000 to use to fight deceases around the world. Imagine how much we could have accomplished with this kind of money, let alone if we had the money of all the countries in the world's money used for war. If this could have happened, then we would probably have cures to all of these deceases which are killing millions every day.

We need cures to deceases in this world and this will not happen unless we can get enough money to get the research for them. And people aren't helping by squandering their own money on unnecessary things and are not doing anything to help others. If we could just think about others slightly more, and cut back on a few unnecessary things, then this world could be a much better place. This is why I believe that cures are worth fighting for.

The Scale Of Life

Equality is worth fighting for. My dad always says that "the rich just get richer, and the poor get poorer.". This is reality because people who are poor cant afford to send their kids to school. If they are not educated then they cant have a good paying job. If they dont have a good paying job then they wont be able to afford medical care and will die of very minor diseases such as stomach pains and the flu. If this cycle is broken then they cold have happier and healthier lifestyles, and we wont hear about how thousands of people are dyeing of aids and how they could not afford the treatment for it. Equality would make this world a better place.

"Everyone is kneaded out of the same dough but not baked in the same oven" - Yiddish Proverb. Proverb is right about how everyone is build the same way but some have the luck of being in a rich family. We are all just one big family. The only difference is some people get more pocket money than others and this is not fair. Sometimes on TV you see some celebrity who has donated about 10 thousand dollars to charity. This is a lot of money, however if the chosen charity has 10 thousand people that need to be given food or a treatment to decease, that would only be about 1 dollar per person. Plus, they will probably only do that about once every year or so. Not much money now right? The celebrity also probably makes about ten times that amount every few weeks. This is why the "family members" who are richer, should give an equal amount of their "pocket money" every day to the unlucky people who are caught in the cycle of poverty. Or else those people who are poor will get poorer and the rich will get richer and that is not equality.

It is not only that (last paragraph) which is un equal. Women are not being treated in a equal manner ether. My aunt is the leader of women's rights in the United Nations and she says that women do not get payed as much as men. Peace keepers who are so posed to rescue people from war zones, only rescue the men and leave the women behind. They should be saved too, but they don't. I don't know why but this happens, and it is not fair. As stated it the quote above, women are made to be equal to men, not getting crushed beneath our feet.

Martin Luther King Jr. He is right when he said that the truth is that everyone is the same, the only difference is that we have been separated with greed. In this case, it is the white people of the US. They think that the black people will hurt their children simply because they are poorer and live in the cites slums. Watching the rich white people prance around must have been really frustrating for them. When they became angry, they started to commit crimes and then white people started fearing them. Why cant they just get that if they had shared equal amounts of their money with them, then they would not be committing all those crimes in the first place.

This is why we should have a equal world. Its not that hard. Just respect others, give equal amounts of money to the poor and this could be a more equal world. If you dont do theise simple things, the who will. You have to start the change. This is why I believe that equality is worth fighting for.

A World Of Peace

A world of peace would be ones dream,

where greed is scorn, and joy is free,

where the soul is happy,

and where war hangs its head,

where races are free,

and where bounties are shared,

where aggression isn't challenged but treated with care,

until the fire within dies down and goes out,

so it doesn't spread to more about,

My poem is a found poem which includes words and phrases form the poems "totally like whatever, you know?" and (need). My poem expresses my picture of what a world of peace would be like and how aggression and revenge isn't the answer to a happy lifestyle. Also how you cant just punish someone who is aggressive. You have to clam them down slowly until their rage comes to an end. Greed is the start of hunger and poverty and that start anger. When someone is angry they will become very aggressive. The aggressive person will then want to rid themselves of that pain, by giving it to someone else. That is how fights start. So if this world was rid of greed, and aggression was treated with care, then this world would be one of peace.

Worthless War

Peace is worth living for. When you fight, you start a battle, and that will grow into to a war. "In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons." Herodotus. When a war ends, It leaves poverty and hunger. You might ask yourself, "Isn't the UN trying to stop poverty and hunger.". Yes they are, But they could have eliminated it years ago, if the US never fought with Iraq (which costed them a total of over 798 trillion USD so far).

All those terrorist bombings are because the US attacked Iraq, leaving them angry and wanting revenge. One example of their revenge was the 911 terrorist attack which killed hundreds of people. That was revenge for something that the US did to them. What about all those acts of terrorism that the US set apon Iraq? What if they killed thousands of people without us knowing? Why don't we have a massive memorial ceremony for them too? Why don't we care?

"Probably, no nation is rich enough to pay for both war and civilization. We must make our choice; we cannot have both." - Abraham Flexner. I think that we should have civilization over war because peace would come without war and there would be no terrorist bombings like there would if you chose the path of war (which we are starting to go down). Cant you imagine that in the future, you would mention the word war and your kids ask what it is? Cant you imagine living in a place where you wouldn't have to worry about thugs and muggers while walking down a dark alley? This is what the path of civilization would look like. Peaceful and protected.

Some people believe that peace is worth fighting for, and freedom is worth fighting for. I disagree because you don't get peace from fighting, you get it from not starting fights. If those fights don't start in the first place, then peace and freedom will thrive in our planet. If you fight for peace or freedom, then you will just create more fights, which will eventually erupt into a war. This is why peace is worth living.

Utopia

In a utopia, there is no future or past; there is nothing to desire or hate. There is only here and now. Age does not matter. There are no secrets, therefore no greed and no longing to know. Money is the cause of inequality, starvation, labor, war, greed, death and crime; so none exists. Food is evenly distributed with no one counted out. Utilities, only existing if needed and recreation is fair and everyone is included. Racism and bullying is eliminated, and everyone lives in peace.

If I could change this world, the two things I would eliminate are desire and hatred. I would do this because hatred fulles war, crime, murder, etc, and it spreads faster than any known decease. Desire gives hatred reason and causes greed, war, crime, murder, and so on. To do this, any forum of currency would be stopped; therefore there would be no greed, and greed causes war, injustice, poverty, crime, labor, etc. No secrets would exist and knowledge would be shared among all who wish to know. Therefore stoping war, death, injustice, greed, desire and hate. Peace would be held as Albert Einstein said, "Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.".

This I belive

I believe that babies should be cared for. Every year millions of babies die because they don’t get vaccinated against deadly diseases. People should have the right to ensure a safe delivery in a good hospital with many trained doctors who have the right medication and vaccinations for the newborn baby.

My sister is 1 month old and I love her a lot. She was born in a hospital with lots of doctors and nurses. She is very lucky that our family has enough money to pay for all the hospital bills. However other families are not as lucky as ours and can’t afford to go to a good hospital. They might have to give birth in an unclean hospital with doctors who are under trained and who don’t have the right vaccinations that babies need. The babies could die of a disease that the right vaccinations would have prevented, or they might put something in their mouth that is unclean, which would make them extremely sick because their immune system would be too weak to even kill the slightest bit of dirt.

I think you should be able to get the right medicine for babies poor or rich. Every town should have a hospital with trained doctors and a large supply of treatments and vaccinations. I hope that there will be a time when every baby gets all the help and care they need. Babies should be cared for, just like my sister. No baby should be left alone to die as many do.

Babies need help. They can’t walk or talk and they can’t take care of themselves and need somebody who cares for them. Babies must be given medicine and a family that cares for them. Babies are the most important things in our world yet people would rather buy something useless than donate that money to a family that could use it to save their baby.

I believe babies should be cared for. After all, they might end up taking care of you in the future. So why not help them? Don’t just stand and watch when you can do something about it!

Kristallnacht

Kristallnacht or night of the broken glass happened in 1938. 1,668 synagogs were burnt down by Nazi soldiers. Many jew-owed stores and companies were destroyed and about 100 jews died that night. Afterwards, Hitler blamed it on the jews and said they had to pay 1 billion marks for the damage that they didn't cause.
Propaganda was believed to be one of the reasons that triggers. these showed Germans strong and powerful and showed Jews as fat rich people. Soon any jew who tried to fight back was sent to a concentration camp. They were forced to leave Germany. However, they were rejected from all bordering countries and the other countries would only let the fewest amount of Jews in.
Many Aaren Germans had a hard time deciding whether or not to take part in Kristallnacht or not. Some took part, some left Germany and most just ignored it, and thought that the Jews deserved it.
When I learned about Kristallnacht, my first thoughts was 'Why?'. Why did the Jews deserve this? Why didn't anybody stand up? Why did people even join in? These are only a few questions that I had about Kristallnacht.
I chose this picture because it is a world war two propaganda poster. It shows how Hitler was seen as a god. This scares me because it shows how much people loved him and how many followed him.

A Is For Awesome


Since I am an A profile learner, I am both a visual and verbal learner. When I am stressed, I lose patience with everything and I try very hard and I won't understand questions, I will not get any answers and I will lose all enjoyment of anything. Since my dominant hemisphere controls all my dominant body parts, I can learn in any way, even when I am stressed.
One of the only ways to reconnect my two hemispheres is to have somebody sit down and talk to me until I am no longer stressed. Unlike other profiles, it is nearly impossible to reconnect my two hemispheres by myself.
I learn best doing a variety of different learning strategies. Some of the best ones are like watching a movie, doing a skit, and brainstorming. It is easiest to learn when I do activities in small groups.
It can be hard for me to be able to connect to others socially and emotionally. It is hard for me to agree upon others ideas, however it is much easier for me to back up my ideas than other people can.
I chose this picture because it shows how it is hard for me to understand questions and other peoples ideas when I am stressed. This also shows how it is hard for me to know what to say in a conversation.

Freedom From Fear

Aung San Suu Kyi has been finally released from home imprisonment and is reunited with her family. Although she is free, she considers herself lucky because many others have been jailed for much longer than she has. She still fights for democracy and wont stop in the foreseeable future.

I think that she will never give up in the fight of democracy because the Burma's military rulers only put her in house arrest to try to shut her up (to stop fighting for democracy) but all the way though out all the 21 years she spent in house arrest and even now, that she is released, she still fights for democracy. I think that she relates to Fatmire Feka because they fight for what they believe in. Even after a group of people come and attempt to crush their souls and what drives them to be leaders, they both have come though, alive and even stronger than before.

The Domino Effect

I think that this relates to The Blokes. I think this because once the blokes punished peter, many were effected and as others became victims to the blokes, everyone becomes effected and fear the blokes. It is sort of like dominos. Once one topples, the rest fall as one hits another. An example of this that relates to the poem is that if everyone was a town in a continent, everyone would depend on each other to help in battles, to supply with food, ect. If one town were to be wiped off the earth completely, then some other towns might have depended on them for food or water. Another town might need help for a battle that they don't have enough troops for. After that those towns would get destroyed and the domino effect would start.

How Do I Describe My Life In 10 Items? Heres How.

The first item of my 10 is my Teddy. He was given to me by my aunt when I was 1 year old and she died 2 months after that in a plane crash. This is important to me because it is my only memory of my aunt. It also brings back memories of when I was younger. There is a patch on him because my brother Jacob ripped him open. He did it forcefully and not by accident. We tried to stich him up but the pieces wouldn't fit. Then we had to get a patch. Since we didn't have any leather patches we had to improvise and use a pillow piece. He is the most important item out of the 10 and I would never leave without him.

My second item is a bottle of coke because it is my favorite drink. I got this special bottle for Christmas last year. This is important to me because coke has been my favorite drink since I was 4 years old. I can't remember a time when I didn't like coke. When I was younger I remember that I went to cokeacola.com. Many drinks come and go like sprite, or root beer. I used to love sprite but now I don't like it and I used to hate root beer but now it tastes good. I have always liked coke so I think that is the better one compared to other drinks.

My third item is a hockey puck because I am Canadian and I like playing all types of hockey. I like to watch The Stanley Cup and I support Vancouver Canucks hockey team. This hockey puck is signed by the top scorer for the 2008 winning team for the Stanley cup. I like this puck and I will keep it, but not use it. I first started ice hockey when I was 6. I was good at skating and good at shooting and controlling the puck but I was bad at stealing it from others. once we had a tournament and I was on The Twisters. I had to play goalie and our team came second. I only let one goal in and that was when we played the winning team. There striker was really good and nobody could block him.

My forth item is a Rubik cube because I use it when I am bored. I have never completed it but I have gotten very close. I always try to finish it by using the instructions but somehow I still can't do it. I watch the pros but I can never figure out what they are doing. I got this for my birthday 2 years ago. Some people solve it for me but I just mess it up again.

My fifth item is a ball because I like to play catch and many sports that use a ball. Some sports I like that use a ball are basketball, soccer, and tennis. The ball I use in this picture is a tennis ball because that is the most multi-purpose ball. You can use it for catch, tennis, soccer, basketball, softball, and hockey. I remember that I used to play soccer for little league when I was in elementary school. I used to love to be mid-field because I could do whatever I wanted. Many people think that sports are just boring but actually sports are a way of life. In fact you make most of your friends and enemies during sports. If somebody never passes the ball to you then you will instantly pin them as a gerk and that's also how they act in real life. If somebody passes to you all the time or trys to make space for you then they are really nice people. Sports revile what kind of person you actually are. You can't hide any thing from sports and that's how I know if I really should be friends with someone or not.

My sixth item is a ipod touch because I like playing video games. I play them whenever I have time. Video games are a habit of mine for whenever I am bored I instantly resort to video games instead of finishing homework and when I do homework I am always on an edge for playing video games. My favorite games are currently Cartoon Wars, which is a game that you send out units to kill the opposing units and the first one to destroy the others castle wins. All of the units are, warrior, veteran warrior, ninja, veteran ninja, gunner, veteran gunner, cannon, mortar, dark mage, white mage, dark angel, white angel, golem, veteran golem, green goblin, and helicopter. I also like Eliminate Pro, that is a shooting game where you are a armored futuristic dude and you play online and shoot others who are also trying to shoot you. The game ends when the total kills add up to 20. Just because I play these games it dosen't mean im a bad person. They are just something to do when you are bored.

My seventh item is a baby bottle because I love my sister and she is a new addition to my life. She is very cute and is so small that you couldn't not love her. She is one month old and she likes have low speed wind hitting her. She also likes when you carry her. I know this because If you set her down for 10 minutes then she will start crying but once you pick her up she will stop crying. Everyone brings her toys and books. She has about 50 books and toys so she should be happy for the next few years.

My eighth item is a snowboarding certificate because I love snowboarding and is my favorite winter sport. I got this certificate during the ski trip in Switzerland. I can do lots of smaller jumps and I can go very fast. I love riding on powder and going through the trees and smaller unpopulated trails. I am great at passing over moguls and I natural jumps over man made jumps because you never know what the landing will be like and the thought of that gets my adrenaline pumping. However I always make shore the landing is safe and not just Ice or rock.

My ninth item is a puzzle box because I keep my designs and other misc. I have Lego designs and wooden cars that are cool. I also have many misc items like notes. I Bought it in Cambodia I don't think that I would ever keep those papers if I didn't put them in the puzzle box. There were lots of boxes to choose from but they were all hearts and other stuff that I wouldn't want. I picked the box is shaped like a electric guitar. The inside is small but I think it is cool and big enough.

My tenth item my arm brace. This is important to me because it reminds me about when I broke my arm. I was at Mount Kiara watching my brothers baseball game. I got bored so I went to the playground. after a while I got bored and I started jumping off the top of the slide. On the third jump, my foot got caught on the slide and I feel and landed on my arm. The pain was indescribable left me stunned in pain, rolling around. After what seemed like two minutes but was probably only 30 seconds, the pain subsided and pins and needles started to prick my arm. I stood up and had to hold up my wrist otherwise it would jar. I walked back to my the stands and I told my mum and dad that my arm hurt a lot. Then I was dipping my arm in some ice water but it still hurt more than before. I think this is because my adrenaline disappeared. so we went to Prince Court and I got X-rays. The X-ray showed a fracture and I got a cast. After 6 weeks of that I got an arm brace because my arm wasn't fully healed yet. I had to wear that for 1 month.

These are 10 items that represent my life and are important to me. As you can see I have many answered my title so if you didn't actually read this then go back up and read it. Although these represent my life, in 20 years many of these items may not be on this if I made a new one.

I chose this picture because the name of my blog is "The Road Of Life" so it was only appropriate that I pick one that is a road. The road of life has many turns and corners and so does the road I picked. I like my picture because it goes on forever.

Your life is like a car on a road. when something is going the way you want it then there will be down hill without many turns. However if something isn't going your way, you will have to go uphill and encounter many turns. some times you will have to make decisions in life and hit crossroads. As you keep driving your car will eventually run out of gas or break down. That, will be the end of your life

I picked this picture to represent Matt Harding dancing because in matts movie he dances with alot of different people. In this picture many different people are dancing.

I think its good that matt gets makes people happy and dances with them but whats he doing to help the world? he spends all this money to make a dumb video when he could be helping thousands by donating that money to others. I am shore there is a reason to his videos that i am unaware of that could be helping people. Until i get a reasonable answer i dont think i will change my mind

I chose this picture because people can become very happy after getting a compliment. The goal of the complement guys is to cheer up America and if they can make people feel this good then they have completed there goal. I think that the compliment guys are the coolest guys in the world because they make people happy. I wish that some day they will achieve there goal.

The last time I got a complement was when miss whiting said that I was a genius even though I am not one. It made me feel smart and good.
The last time I gave a compliment was during the auditions for the ms musical. I told them (Robert) they were good at acting and it made him smile.

The people of the red tower accept being capped just so they can have courage and become a knight but courage is useless when your mind is controlled.

The people of the red tower think that if you get capped you are awesome and cool and stuff but they don't know that when you are capped you must obey the tripods.

The people at the red tower who are capped act like normal people so the uncapped don't know that you are not free.

Since the capped get to be knights or dukes kids unknowingly give up their freedom to become a knight or duke.

Sophie-listened well but poor body language. She often rested her head on her arms and didn't look interested. She interrupted quite a bit sometimes doodled. Otherwise she had good passages and questions.

Leo-Had good questions and was eager to share. I don't recall him interrupting anybody. He was obviously restraining bad body language and interrupting the speaker. His facial expression tells you that he is bored and would rather be somewhere else.

Sonja-Excellent body and facial expression. I think she just does it naturally. Excellent passages and questions. participated without being asked. Outstanding!
